A "silver singalong" is in store next month when a Silsden club hosts a special visit by their Geordie counterparts. The group from Jarrow has visited Cobbydale Social Club every summer for the past 25 years. The Silsden members will lay on pie and peas on Saturday, June 9, while the Geordies will lead traditional North East songs. The visits began after Cobbydale member Eric Heseltine's daughter, Sandra, married a Jarrow man.
