A sponsored walk is being held on Saturday to raise cash to help a man stay in the UK.
Michael Bourne and his fiancee Barbara Firth, of Wareham Corner, Holme Wood, need to raise £4,000 to pay the legal costs of an appeal against a deportation order.
The walk will be a round trip from Bradford City Hall to Leeds City Hall and back again, starting at 9am.
Mr Bourne, who has been in the UK for ten years, was held in custody by immigration officials in March to be put on a plane to Barbados. He was released at the last minute after an intervention from Bradford South MP Gerry Sutcliffe.
Mr Bourne, 47, and Miss Firth, 46, will contest the deportation ruling at the Appeal Court in London.
