A new baton-twirling group is appealing for more members to swell its ranks.
The group is called The New Dawn Twirlers and has been set up by Dawn Baker at the Sedgburgh Centre in Odsal.
It is the only baton- twirling group in Bradford and is open to four to 19-year-olds, although more members over the age of nine are particularly needed.
It meets every Saturday from 10am to noon.
Mrs Baker is hoping the children will be able to attend a national training camp in October and is busy raising funds for the trip.
She has organised a charity fun day on Saturday, June 30, at the Sedgburgh Centre from 10am to 1pm where dads of group members will be having their legs waxed to raise cash.
There will also be a tombola, a raffle and stalls.
Mrs Baker said: "Because we are a non-profit organisation we rely on donations.
"We are looking for local companies to sponsor us and also for a volunteer to do the waxing on our charity day."
