Two Bradford companies, Mailway Packaging Solutions and Field Packaging, have joined forces to bring one of the United States' most innovative forms of retail display packaging to the UK and Europe.
SunPaq is a new display packaging option that is fully recyclable and sells 60 million units annually in America.
Designers say the product is an innovation as it can be displayed with total visibility, both front and back- a first in the UK packaging market.
Stewart Clough, sales director of Mailway, said: "SunPaq really will take the UK and European market by storm.
"Not only because it offers retailers more display options than many other packaging solutions on the market, but also due to its fully recyclable nature and its cost level against competitive formats."
Mailway and Field's agreement means the companies have European distribution rights for the SunPaq brand and sole rights to sub-contract manufacture under the SunPaq banner.
They are also the only companies permitted to install equipment in customer facilities in the UK and produce and sell the cards used with SunPaq packaging.
Chris Mudd, sales director of Field Packaging said: "We're delighted to be working in partnership with Mailway to officially introduce this exciting packaging to Europe.
"It is one of the most innovative technologies I've seen for some time and really will make a huge impression on this side of the Atlantic."
