Firefighters are set to raise money in memory of a colleague who died at the age of 46.
About ten crew members in Keighley will be thinking of Trudy Ramsden when they take on the Coniston Quadrathon on Saturday, June 2.
Trudy was a control room operator for the fire service at its Birkenshaw headquarters in Bradford for 28 years.
She died of an aggressive brain tumour in December.
Money raised will go into her appeal fund, which has already passed the £7,000 mark, to be shared between Yorkshire Cancer Research and the Fire Service National Bene-volent Fund.
The Coniston Quadathon starts with a one kilometre swim across Coniston Water - the third largest lake in the Lake District - followed by a 15km kayak, 25km bike ride and a 12km walk up to the 800m high Old Man of Coniston.
Fire Investigation officer, Mark Whitaker said: "The Trudy Ramsden Memorial Fund is a charity close to our hearts as Trudy was an incredibly popular lady."
