Police saddled up to patrol a Bradford suburb on horseback during a three-day anti-crime and grime operation.
Neighbourhood Policing Team officers were joined by the off-road motorcycle unit and the mounted section as part of Operation Champion.
Police riders provided high-visibility patrols in Tyersal and Pudsey town centre, and Swinnow in Leeds.
NPT Inspector Tom Horner said it was the first time police horses had patrolled Tyersal.
He said: "Residents told me they were happy to see the increased patrols in their neighbourhoods and they were pleased to see the police horses. They provide high visibility and reassurance."
A total of 11 people were arrested during the operation, for burglary, criminal damage, possessing an offensive wea-pon, harassment and non-payment of fines. Police were also given information about suspected drug dealing and criminal activity.
Insp Horner said: "It's been a great opportunity for the NPT to meet the public and reassure them we are doing our best to tackle local problems."
