Doctors are to upgrade their telephone system to beat a log-jam of calls at peaks times. Staff at Cross Hills Health Centre, near Skipton, believe it will enable them to handle more calls from their 12,000 patients. Known as Surgery Line, it has been especially developed for doctors' surgeries and includes additional phones lines, call automation and call recording. It should be up and running by Thurdsay, June 7.
