Volunteers are being sought to help out at a psychiatric hospital in Bradford. Bradford Council's volunteering unit is offering opportunities to support adults based at Lynfield Mount hospital's visitors centre, in Daisy Hill, Bradford.
Volunteers are required to help provide more activities and stimulation for service users, help staff with arts and crafts, games, discussion groups and serving refreshments.
They can also help provide more social contact and interaction to service users and this can help their self-esteem, confidence and social skills.
The Volunteering Unit is looking for enthusiastic people who have an interest in this area.
Applicants are not required to have any experience and must be keen to learn. Volunteering can be a rewarding experience, bringing satisfaction in helping others.
Volunteers will receive full training, excellent support and travel expenses.
