A multi-agency scheme has recouped £700,000 of unclaimed benefits for elderly people living in Bradford.
Liz Haigh, a benefit advice worker employed by the Older People's Partnership, has helped people claim benefits and raised awareness about eligibility by visiting people in their homes and speaking at public events.
The partnership, made up of a number of agencies in Bradford including police, Age Concern, Bradford Council and the NHS, aims to improve the life of older people in the district.
Liz was employed in April 2006 to help people claim council tax and housing benefit.
