Hundreds of people gathered to pay their respects at the funeral of a man believed to be one of the first West Indians to settle in Bradford during the immigration boom of the 1950s.
A memorial service for Pearl Gladstone Minott, who became a big name on the Bradford music club scene, was held at St Joseph's Church in Manchester Road, and followed by burial at Scholemoor cemetery.
Mr Minott, who was better known as Bibby, settled in Bradford in the 1950s and his music clubs were famous for bringing together Afro Caribbean, Asian and white people.
Bibby was 75 when he died earlier this month at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
