Stuart McCall IS the next City manager.
McCall has agreed to take over the reins at the Intersonic Stadium - the appointment that the fans have dreamed of.
The City idol will be returning for his third spell at the club which he left as a player in May 2002 to join Sheffield United.
He has been number two to Neil Warnock for the past three years but he was overlooked for the Blades job when Warnock quit earlier this week.
That persuaded McCall, who has always been chairman Julian Rhodes's first choice to lead City, to come back to Valley Parade, where he will hope to take the club back out of League Two at the first time of asking.
