Members of the Bradford Polish Veterans' Association are to make an emotional return to their homeland after securing a lottery grant.
For some it will be the first time they have seen Poland since World War Two.
The trip, which will begin on Thursday, May 31, is the brainchild of Romana Pizon, 69, originally from Wroclaw in Poland and now living in Baildon.
Mrs Pizon applied to Awards For All, a branch of the National Lottery Fund, outlining her proposal and was delighted when the group were awarded £10,000.
She said: "It is very exciting. I couldn't believe it when Awards for All gave us the money, I was over the moon for weeks.
"It has taken a lot of organising but it will be a brilliant experience. I visit Poland every year but for some of the veterans this will be their first time back since the war. It will be very emotional for all involved."
The trip will include visits to concentration camps at Auschwitz and Berkenau and the memorial at Umschlagplatz in Warsaw.
Vanessa White, head of Big Lottery Fund for the Yorkshire and the Humber region, which provided the funding for the trip, said: "This award is a typical example of how Awards for All grants continue to support a diverse range of projects across Bradford that bring benefit to people of all ages and from all walks of life."
