More than 850 birds will be displayed at the 198th Otley Show in a clear sign the event has put the global avian flu crisis behind it.
About 400 sheep, 100 goats and scores of horses, cattle, rabbits and pigs will also be exhibited on Saturday.
Other entertainment will include a horse shoeing competition, falconry display, dog show, vintage tractors and a fly-fishing demonstration.
The show's organisers, Wharfedale Agricultural Society, are also taking steps to try and avoid some of the problems that beset the event last year when it was hit by heavy rain.
Tickets bought before the day cost £6 (senior citizens £3.50, children £1.50), or £7 (senior citizens £4, children £2) on the day. Car parking is £1. Tickets can be bought from Otley shops and Otley and Ilkley Tourist Information Centres.
