Shipley College Connexions and careers advisor Chris Holgate put his best foot forward last weekend to raise money for the institution's Student Fund.
Chris ran the Leeds half-marathon in 2hrs 19mins and has so far swelled the fund's coffers by more than £300.
Staff, students and local companies, including Saltaire-based technology giant Pace Micro, gave generously.
Chris, who took part in the New York marathon in 2003 to raise money for disabled young people and local charities, said: "I've been training for the last five months to build up my strength. It was hard work, as this is quite a hilly course but it was worth it to raise money for a worthy cause. That's what it's all about."
Shipley College's Student Fund is supported entirely by voluntary donations and is used to support students who struggle financially while studying at the institution.
