A new area of friendly woodland has been opened at Harden's St Ives Estate.
The Friends' Wood, a joint venture between the Friends of St Ives and Bradford Council, was officially declared open by Shipley MP Philip Davies.
Funded entirely by donations, the wood has allowed people to give £20 to have a tree planted in memory of a loved one or to celebrate births, anniversaries and marriages.
Children from Harden Primary School turned out to mark the occasion through song and to provide woodland-themed artwork, which lined the route to the wood.
Ros Walker, of the Friends of St Ives, said: "The Friends' Wood has proved very popular - so far nearly 200 people have donated trees to the woodland."
The project started around two years ago, following public demand. Staff from the Council's parks and landscapes department planted the trees and put up a special plaque.
