The anguished wife of Bradford father-of-three Sajid Saddique fears he is no longer alive.
Mr Saddique, 32, has not been seen for exactly three months since he left the family home in Heaton for a business meeting in Shipley on Valentine's Day.
He told his family he would be back home in half an hour and had planned to celebrate the romantic day with his wife.
But he never returned and there has been no word of his whereabouts since.
Detectives are still treating his disappearance as a missing persons inquiry but Sajid's wife, Asma, 26, said today: "I would like to think and hope he is still alive but after three months, to be honest I don't think so."
Mr Saddique's Volkswagen Bora car was recovered by police from the Asda supermarket car park in Manor Road, Shipley, on the day he disappeared.
Detectives from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team were concerned the missing family man may have been abducted from the car park.
Mr Saddique ran a car dealership, Sandy Lane Motors, with his brothers, and officers are continuing to look into his business dealings and his links with family and friends.
A tearful Asma said her husband's disappearance was a mystery. She said: "It's as if he has just vanished off the face of the earth. At first I told myself he had just gone away and he would come back. But I know that's not true. I didn't want anything bad to happen but I know in my heart something has. But I can't move on because there is no closure. My life has just stopped."
Asma is caring on her own for their children, daughters Neha, six, and Salihah, two, and 11-month-old son Keyann.
"It is hard for Neha. She is a daddy's girl. He absolutely doted on her and she would tell him everything. She prays every night before she goes to bed that daddy will come home soon.
"It's hard to cope with everyday life. He did everything. He used to take Neha to school. Somebody is missing from our family and nothing is normal for us now.
"I think there is somebody out there who knows something or is hiding something for whatever reason. I just ask them to come forward, regardless of the reason they are withholding information."
Mr Saddique's younger brother, Majid, 30, said they had packed up the family car business after Sajid's disappearance.
He said: "I haven't been able to work since he disappeared. We have given up the lease and given up the business. It is just not important. What is important is knowing where my brother is."
