Detectives were tonight questioning a 26-year-old man in connection with an aggravated burglary at a young woman's home in Baildon.
The 23-year-old victim woke at 2am to find a masked man brandishing a hunting knife in her bedroom. He grabbed her by the throat and stabbed her in the knee during a struggle.
After overpowering the victim, the burglar demanded PIN numbers for her cash and credit cards before escaping.
The victim made her way to a relative's home to raise the alarm. She was treated for the wound to her knee at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
Police have arrested a Baildon man in connection with the incident. He was expected to be released on bail pending further inquiries after questioning.
