The Lady Mayoress of Bradford, Zahida Rangzeb, sold her own home-made Asian cuisine from curry to bhajis and samosas at her May Fair at Bradford City Hall on Thursday.
Alongside Mrs Rangzeb's stall, there were several others including Virgin Vie, Pandora's Box, Candleglow, a tombola and raffle and a fair trade food and wine tasting stall.
Hundreds of visitors paid to tuck into the food and raised £2,000 for Lord Mayor's Appeal which is supporting, the Born in Bradford project and Bradford Sports and Recreation Association for People with Disabilities.
Mrs Rangzeb, whose husband Choudhary Rangzeb is Lord Mayor, said: "It went very well, most of the cooking was my own, I stayed up until 3am the night before to finish it. I made three dishes and snacks.
"Within 45 minutes of the stall opening I sold 50 portions of dishes and snacks, so I was very pleased with my cooking."
