The money is pouring in for a woman from Sutton who swam 64 lengths of a pool for charity.
And having only learned to swim last year, Rachel Corp couldn't believe it when she completed her first mile in one hour and 10 minutes at Craven Swimming Pool.
The sponsored swim was part of a "Splash for Cash" event organised by Yorkshire Cancer Research to raise funds for the charity. So far, Rachel, 25, has raised more than £500.
Rachel said: "The swim went really well. My mum and grandma came to watch and made sure I did 64 lengths. It was very tiring and hard work. I'm glad I put lots of training in beforehand."
The actual "Splash for Cash" venture was last autumn, but shortly before Rachel was due to swim she was involved in a car accident and suffered severe whiplash.
A few months later she was ready to start training again for the swim, which took place last month.
