Dog owners in Kirklees will have the chance to have their dogs microchipped which could help if they lost their prized pet.
At an event being organised by Kirklees Environmental Services, residents can have their dog chipped at a reduced rate of £10 per dog.
The microchip road show will be visiting the Oakwell Hall information centre in Birstall from 3pm to 8pm on Thursday, May 24.
Dog wardens will be there to answer any questions and offer advice and sample packs of "poop scoop" bags will also be available.
Microchip details will go onto a pet identification database.
