A Bradford company is launching a competition to name its newly-launched teddy bear.
According to Oriss director Vijay Dayalji, the bears are proving hugely popular but the firm has been unable to come up with a name.
A former pupil at Dixon's City Academy, Mr Dayalji founded Oriss with his brother a few months ago. As the lack of a suitable name continued he contacted his former teacher at the Academy, Brian Russell. The end result was a decision to give the students at the academy the chance to name the bear.
Mr Dayalji said: "Each teddy is personalised to the taste of the customer and conveys different emotions, so I thought why not ask one of our consumer groups for their ideas and suggestions."
As an incentive to the students, Mr Dayalji approached Amarjit Singh, director of Empiredirect.co.uk who offered an MP3 player for the winner.
The winner of the competition, which is only open to Dixon's City Academy students will be announced on May 21.
