Oxenhope Conservation Initiative wants residents to help improve their local environment. On Saturday the group will be sowing wildflower seed, drystone walling and cutting weeds at Marsh Common, near the village. Volunteers, together with members of Oxenhope Parish Council, are working to turn what used to be a tip into an amenity area for locals and visitors. Anyone wanting to help out at Marsh Common from 10am should call (01535) 643622 or visit the OCI web site at www.oci-web.org.
