A new-born chick named Nugget born at an Esholt farm park has not one but two mums.
Hens Henrietta and Harriot could not decide which of them had laid a few eggs at St Leonard's Farm and so took it in turns to sit on them.
Their dedication paid off and little Nugget was born. Now, the two are devoted to their little offspring.
Owner James Wainhouse said: "I try to encourage the hens to hatch their eggs, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
"These two hens took it in turns to sit on three or four eggs and one of them hatched. They are looking after Nugget really well, they are just around it all the time."
