Three men have become the first people to be barred from the majority of Skipton town centre shops under a new initiative.
Police have put exclusion orders on the trio, who were arrested on the town's Water Street.
Although they have not been convicted of any offences, they are now banned from going into 45 shops included in the Radio Link shop watch scheme.
The three men, all from Birmingham, have been charged with theft offences and appeared at Harrogate Magistrates' Court last week.
Marko Kivec, 30, is accused of conspiracy to steal between February 27 and April 26, using a motor vehicle without insurance and one offence of shoplifting.
Forty-four-year-old Anghel Bascu and 39-year-old Bacro Kvec have been charged with conspiracy to steal between February 27 and April 26 and shoplifting.
All three men have had their cases adjourned to Skipton Magistrates' Court on June 1.
