Buttershaw White Star 2, Bradford Park Avenue Rangers 1
Sunday Alliance Division One champions Buttershaw White Star added the Bradford & District Sunday Senior Cup to their trophy cabinet when they beat Premier Division Bradford Park Avenue Rangers in the final.
Mark Betts was voted man of the match and ensured the trophy finished in White Star's possession with a goal in either half of the match played at Thackley's Dennyfield ground.
Park Avenue Rangers created chances but it was not until the last kick of the game that they managed to breach a sound Buttershaw defence.
It was the first time White Star have won the league's premier cup competition and their name is now engraved on the trophy along side illustrious names in the Bradford amateur scene such as Albion Sports and Bolton Woods.
