T&A League defending champions West Horton proved too good for in-form East Bowling in a thrilling match at Community College.
They took the lead in the first half when Gulfraz Satti forced home following a hotly-disputed corner kick. The visitors scored again just before the break when Tahir Khan hit a beauty of a volley into the top corner from a cross by Daljit Singh.
The hosts were unlucky to be 2-0 down at the break but paid the price for not converting their chances.
They put West Horton under pressure in the second half and received their reward when Chris Humphries pulled a goal back on the hour but it was all they could manage.
Basement outfit Ventnor Youth entertained league cup winners U-Save Albion at Thornbury and, although the youngsters put up a spirited performance, the visitors hit three goals in the first half and four in the second.
Ryan Basi and Carl Hall both scored braces and further goals came from captain Craig Delaney, Mujad Malik and Kulsar Singh.
All Nations continued their strong finish to the season with a hard-earned 2-0 victory against Smiling Mule. Tom Umbo put them in front in the first half and Prince Nduka sealed victory with the second in the 89th minute.
West Bowling won bragging rights over their neighbours West Bowling Dragons with a 3-1 away win.
