A pedestrian was killed in a road collision in Bradford last night.
The 67-year-old man was in collision with a white transit van at the bottom of Toller Lane, Bradford, at 6.50pm.
The man, who is from the local area but has not yet been named, was taken to nearby Bradford Royal Infirmary where he died soon after.
Two more vehicles - a Toyota and a Rover - were involved in the incident, at a pelican crossing.
All the vehicles stopped at the scene and gave details to police.
Inspector Howard Buckley, of Bradford North Police, said: "A pedestrian was knocked down. He was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary where his injuries proved fatal.
"There were three vehicles involved, one of which had been involved in a collision with the pedestrian. I don't know exactly what the sequence was.
"The vehicle stopped, so there's no question of it being a hit and run. There are no aggravating features at the moment."
Insp Buckley said a number of witnesses had already come forward, but added that more were wanted.
"Anybody who has seen anything and hasn't already come forward should contact police," said Insp Buckley. He added that the police's traffic department and CID were now investigating.
Police cordoned off the road after the accident to begin investigations.
West Yorkshire Ambulance Service confirmed that one man had been taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary.
A spokesman said: "We sent a crew and an operational supervisor to the scene. We have taken one patient to hospital."
Witnesses to the accident should call Bradford North Police on 0845 6060606.
