A CYCLIST who suffered a broken neck in a collision with a car in Shipley is now recovering at home.

The 36-year-old rider, who is from Shipley, also suffered a fractured arm in the accident, which happened at the junction of Wrose Road and Carr Lane, at 5.50pm on Thursday.

He was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary following the collision, but a West Yorkshire Police spokesman today said the cyclist had been released from hospital and was back at home.

The driver of the Ford Focus involved in the accident, a 30-year-old man from Shipley, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and released on bail pending further inquiries.
