POLICE are hunting a graffiti artist wanted for vandalising sites across West Yorkshire, tagging the words Kobe and Oi wherever he goes.
British Transport Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the offences. They believe he has "important information" about the graffiti.
Detective Inspector Glen Alderson said: “The graffiti tag ‘KOBE’ and ‘Oi’ have been appearing all over the railway network throughout West Yorkshire recently, but predominantly in the Leeds and Neville Hill areas.
“We have already undertaken extensive enquiries in an attempt to identify the person responsible but to no avail.
“I am now hoping that by releasing these photo that someone may recognise the man pictured, who we believe may be able to help our enquiries into these offences.

“BTP takes criminal damage in the form of graffiti on the rail network extremely seriously and we aim to catch and prosecute those responsible.
“Some people consider graffiti to be art but in reality it is nothing more than selfish vandalism that makes people fearful of their surroundings and costs the railway industry thousands of pounds to clean up.
“Unfortunately the costs associated with the clean up mean it is ultimately the fare-paying passenger who pay for this damage, which is not acceptable
“I would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured, or knows his whereabouts, to get in touch.”
