HUNDREDS of well-wishers turned out to show their support as the Yorkshire Regiment marched through Bradford city centre.

More than 150 soldiers from the 1st Battalion of The Yorkshire Regiment exercised their right to the Freedom of the City by parading through the city with bayonets fixed, band playing and colours flying.

The march this morning also marked the 200th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo, in which the Yorkshire-based Duke of Wellington’s Regiment - now part of the Yorkshire Regiment - took part.
