MAGISTRATES have issued a warrant for the arrest of a shopkeeper accused of a string of offences relating to the sale of counterfeit and contraband cigarettes.
Hemen Ahmed Hussain failed to appear at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates' Court yesterday to answer ten charges brought by West Yorkshire Trading Standards. They relate to the shop Baz's Off Licence in Chislehurst Place, West Bowling.

The offences, dating from September last year, include selling cigarettes with fake trade marks on them and selling cigarettes without health warnings on the package.
The case had previously been adjourned for a translator to attend, but yesterday while the translator attended, Hussain did not, leading to the warrant being issued.
