A WOMAN in a Citroen car crashed into the side of the maternity unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary after careering out of control down a steep grassy banking.
Fire crews said the driver was leaving the car park when she lost control shortly after 10am yesterday.
A fire service spokesman said the car was very badly damaged, although the driver, a woman in her 40s, and passenger were not thought to be injured.
The car came to rest on the corner of the building. A structural engineer was called but the damage to the wall was believed to be minor. Crews from Shipley fire station winched the car out.
