A GROUP of students at a Kenyan school brought a taste of African music to Bradford for a special performance.
The Singing Children of Africa concert saw students at the Jolaurabi School take to the stage at the Great Hall at the University of Bradford.
The performance formed part of an eight-week Love Can Turn the World tour of the UK.
A group of 23 children aged between eight and 13, four teachers and four mature students from the school were chosen to take part in the tour, which will also see them perform in Ilkley, Bingley, Scotland and Somerset.
They sang traditional African songs and gospel music at the free concert.
It was the latest tie-up between the school and Educate The Kids charity, who have built the school and an orphanage at Jolaurabi, which has 800 studying there.
Yvonne Craig, director of Educate the Kids, said: "It's great that the children could perform in Bradford.
"It gives them such a thrill to meet people. They are such talented children. They live in poverty in Kenya.
"It gives them a way to see that their stories are told."
