ARSONISTS used a "movie-style" technique to set a car ablaze in a restaurant car park early today.
Firefighters said it appeared a trail of flammable liquid had been poured on the ground, with an Audi A4 at one end, and had then been lit at the other.
The blaze happened in the car park of the Mother Hubbard's fish and chip restaurant in Ingleby Road, Girlington, Bradford, at about 1.30am.
Jon Pearson, crew commander at Fairweather Green fire station, said: "There was a trail of some sort of flammable substance going from the car, round the corner of a building.
"It looks like the fire has been lit at the side of the building and shot round, movie-style."
Mr Pearson said by the time his crew arrived, the "whole front end" of the car was alight, but that no nearby building had been at risk.
He confirmed the fire was being treated as deliberate.
