FORMER Bradford West MP George Galloway will officially kick starts his bid to become the Mayor of London this weekend.
The controversial Respect politician confirmed he would be standing for the top civic role after losing his Commons seat of in the General Election in May.
Mr Galloway, who is also a former Bethnal Green and Bow MP, is holding a rally at the Conway Hall in the capital city's Red Lion Square, where he will be joined by a number of guest speakers, to outline his vision for London's future.
He has pledged if successful he would build a city that benefits everyone, not just those "dripping in gold".
