A HOUSE in Bradford was severely damaged by a blaze today.
The ground and first floor windows of the back-to-back terraced property were shattered in the heat. An alarm box on the outside of the property had partly melted.
Fire crews from Bradford, Odsal and Fairweather Green stations were called to the house in Spring Mill Street, West Bowling, at 5.45am.
A fire service spokesman said the property was "100 per cent involved in fire" when the engines arrived, and added that four or five other houses were badly smoke-logged.
Windows and doors of neighbouring properties have been left open this morning, with a police community support officer standing guard.
The spokesman said no-one had been injured in the blaze and the cause was under investigation.
One woman, who lives in nearby Dalcross Street, said "It looks really bad. I am just glad that no-one was hurt.
"I saw the damage on my way back from school and saw all the fire engines and police."
