FEATURING in a four-part fly-on-the wall TV documentary has provided a big boost for a Bradford recruitment agency.
Candelisa People, based in North Parade, has so far signed up 15 new business clients as a result of appearing in The Job Centre series which ended last night.
Company boss Jane Vincent while taking part in the filming over six months was stressful at times, the boost to the business was beyond her expectations.
She said: " I never expected it to give us such a boost, it's fantastic. I must admit there were times when I wondered what we had let ourselves in for and it could be a bit intrusive, but overall it's been an enjoyable and worthwhile experience .
"We have attracted 15 new business clients as a direct result of appearing in the series and I am also making a presentation to a potential large new client. We've also been inundated with candidates wanting us to help them find new roles.
"Featuring in the series has resulted in a big boost for our business."
The Channel 4 show focused on Candelisa People's staff, people looking for work at several businesses, including Bradford Brewery, and the company's clients.
Before the final episode had even aired last night, fans were taking to social media to contact the new reality stars and ask for a second series to be made, with some saying how much they would love to work for Ms Vincent.
Viewers watching the final show saw Candelisa People supply Bradford City Football Club with matchday stewards.
Meanwhile, Candelisa People's partner business, Ilkley-based international property development company Candelisa - which owns half the recruitment operation, is planning to convert a controversial former Craven care home for residential use.
Candelisa managing director Guy Taylor is planning a £2 million refurbishment and conversion scheme at the former Royd Hill care home in Sutton Lane, Sutton-in-Craven.
The site has been empty since Royd Hill had its registration as a care home cancelled by the Care Quality Commission on the back of a damning report following an inspection which led to its closure.
Candelisa recently completed the conversion of the Skipton Building Society's former town centre headquarters into 39 apartments at the Providence Quarter, which all sold within five weeks.
Candelisa, which specialises in up-market schemes and regeneration of historic buildings, is also planning a £3.8m residential development at an nearby site in Eastburn.
The company, which has also focused on developments in the Caribbean and Austrian ski resorts, also developed two M-local convenience stores for Bradford-based retailer Morrisons in Ilkley and Steeton.
The company is also developing a £1.7m purpose-built 6,800 sq ft head office at Caroline House in Skipton.
