Lidl will be opening a new neighbourhood foodstore this week, creating 25 new jobs.
The store will open on Manchester Road, Bradford on Thursday. Sean Shillingford, chairman of the neighbouring Hutson Street Community Project, Councillor Ian Greenwood (Little Horton, Lab) and Steve Hartley, chief executive of Bradford Trident will cut the ribbon at the store's opening.A company spokesman said: "We are very excited about the opening of our new store in Bradford on Manchester Road. Lidl has invested heavily in this project and has worked closely with Bradford Trident and the local community throughout planning and construction stages of the new store. "The development forms part of the multi-million pound generation project being undertaken by Bradford Trident the community led company working to transform the Park Lane, Marshfields and West Bowling areas of Bradford.
"This new Lidl store is an excellent example of commercial and public organisations working closely together, in conjunction with strong community consultation to provide much needed investment in this part of Bradford."
