EXCITEMENT is building ahead of the second Queensbury 1940s day on June 20, say organisers.
Organisers say tickets for the event's evening entertainment - at a 1940s-decorated Queensbury Conservative Club and including a Dame Vera Lynn tribute act - are selling fast, and are urging people to snap them up soon if they want to go along.
During the day, Chapel Lane in the village will be closed off and filled with entertainment, music, stalls, army and display vehicles, a climbing wall and people in 1940s clothing.
The event was first held last year, in September, and was so well-received that it is back by popular demand.
Joan Milner, who is on the committee, said: "It is going to be bigger and better than last year. I am very excited."
Tickets for the evening entertainment are available from Mrs Milner on 01274 428820 or 07739 112426.
