DANCERS from the English Youth Ballet had an audience with the Lord Mayor of Bradford Councillor Joanne Dodds.
The newly installed Mayor called in at the cast's dress rehearsal of Giselle on Friday, ahead of its opening night.
A collection taken at that's night performance has been donated to the Bradford Hospitals Children’s Charity, which is one of the charities chosen for this year’s Lord Mayor’s Appeal.
The money will go towards buying beds for parents so they can stay close to their children when they need to be in hospital.
The beds are a special folding type, which fit next to the child's bed at the correct height for parent and child to have eye contact.
On Friday, Cllr Dodds was also joined by parents, children and staff from Bradford Royal Infirmary hospital, who had also been invited to a sneak preview of the show at St George's Hall in Bradford City centre.
Seven professional principals and 97 dancers from around Bradford and West Yorkshire were on stage for the weekend's performances.
