Music night to raise money for rugby player memorial fund
A NIGHT of brass music will be held to raise funds in memory of former rugby league star Danny Jones.
Mr Jones (pictured) died last month after suffering a heart attack when his team, the Keighley Cougars, was playing their Championship 1 game at London Skolars.
Now James Shepherd and Friends will perform at the Methodist Chapel, Northowram on Friday, June 19, with David Morris, world champion whistler, the host.
All proceeds will go to a memorial fund set up by the RFL Benevolent Fund in the Welsh international's name which has so far raised £173,000 which will be put in a trust fund for Mr Jones' children.
