POLICE were called to Thornton yesterday to investigate an incident involving a man and a woman who were travelling together.
Officers were called to a report a woman who had been seen arguing outside a car on Thornton Road at about 2.20pm with a man she had previously been travelling in the vehicle with.
Both parties left the scene in the vehicle, but as the woman was reported to have looked upset, police have been carrying out enquiries into the incident following calls of concern for her from bystanders.
A major police presence had been reported just off Thornton Road, near its junction with Old Road and Thorpe Road.
Residents reported a police cordon had been put in place near Thornton village as officers investigate an incident.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Enquiries are continuing this evening to determine precisely what has taken place.
"Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information is asked to contact Bradford CID on 101."
