SCAFFOLDING has gone up around one of Bradford's most famous theatres.
The scaffold was put up yesterday at the Council-owned St George's Hall in Bridge Street, Bradford.
But a spokesman for the authority said it did not mark the start of a planned major refurbishment and was merely to allow the building to be inspected.
She said: "The scaffolding that is currently being erected around St George's Hall is to allow investigation work to be undertaken.
"This is not the start of the major refurbishment work, which is due to start in April 2016."
