Police cordon set up near Thornton village as officers investigate incident
A police cordon has been put in place near Thornton village as officers investigate an incident.
A major police presence has been reported just off Thornton Road, near its junction with Old Road and Thorpe Road.
Attention seems to be focussing on a field, according to one onlooker.
Another said: "I don't know what's happening in Thornton Road, near the New Tyke Inn, but there's loads of police around the area and a cordon has been set up."
Police are yet to reveal details of the incident. More follows.
