FANS of retro computer games descended on Bradford Playhouse to enjoy old school gaming on Saturday night.
A total of 108 enthusiasts from across the district enjoyed the unfaded glories of the Sega Mega Drive, Nintendo NES, and other game consoles from the '80s and '90s teamed up with vintage games such as Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario World.
Jon Biggin, of Shipley, is part of The Button Mash group which organised the event that ran from 3pm until midnight and which saw some visitors arrive dressed as their favourite characters from yesteryear, including Lara Croft and Dante from Devil May Cry.
"It was our best turn out so far and the Rockband competition was really popular." Mr Biggin said.
There was also a mash-up tournament which saw gamers battle each other for supremacy on a host of games with cassettes provided free of charge.
Billed as a way for gamers to make new friends with people who share their hobby, people were asked to make a donation on the door.
"It was a really great success and we are hoping to repeat it with another event in September," he said.
