CZECHOSLOVKIAN motorbikes will invade Baildon when the Jawa CZ motorcycle club holds its national rally at the town's rugby club this month.

Hundreds of vintage and modern Czech bikes will arrive on Friday, June 12, with riders ready to roar out on runs around the area during the weekend-long event organised by the club's Keighley branch.

Enthusiasts based at Dalton Mill who restore and ride the famous old two-strokes - plus the occasional East German MZ - are also expecting some other international visitors.

"I believe we may have people riding over from Holland and Belgium, it should be a really fantastic weekend with loads of great bikes out on the roads," said the club's Roger Henderson.

"There will be a choice of runs on the Saturday and shorter runs on Sunday, so people will be riding all over the Aire Valley.

"It is a once a year opportunity for us all to meet up with old friends and make new friends, have a chance to see and share our love for all things Jawa and CZ," said Mr Henderson, who used to teach motorcycle maintenance at Keighley College.
