TRAVELLERS who set up camp in the grounds of a top private school which charges almost £25,000 a year to board there were still on site yesterday - despite looming court action.
Vans, caravans and a horse parked up by Woodhouse Grove School, next to Harrogate Road, in Apperley Bridge almost two weeks ago - were told legal proceedings were being started last week.
Although some vans had gone by yesterday morning, there were still a number there.
Peter Thompson, operations director at the school, confirmed police had been informed and legal proceedings had now begun to move them off.
The school leases the car park from Bradford Council and is responsible for its upkeep.
Mr Thompson said: "Our groundsmen are out every day working on our site keeping it neat and tidy but the car park is putting a drain on their time."
