A BURGLAR was given a suspended prison sentence after raiding a pub, a school and a house.
Daniel Stainsby, 32, burgled the Red House in Barkerend Road, Bradford Crown Court heard. He was confronted by the landlady, Donna Proctor, but elbowed her in the nose, in a reckless rather than deliberate act. She suffered a cut and swelling to her face.
While on bail, Stainsby burgled St Stephen's School in West Bowling and stole two computer monitors.
He carried out a further burglary on bail, at a house in Wynford Way, Low Moor, stealing electrical items. The occupiers were at home, including a four-year-old child, who now hid his toys because he was worried about Stainsby coming back.
Stainsby, of Thorold House, Fairweather Green, Bradford, was sentenced to a total of 14 months imprisonment suspended for 12 months, with a six-month alcohol treatment requirement and a 30-day rehabilitation activity requirement.
