MOST patients at Airedale Hospital feel they are looked after well, according to a new survey.
Latest data from the Care Quality Commission reveals the Steeton hospital has performed consistently across key areas including care and treatment, waiting times and staffing.
A sample of adults who spent overnight as inpatients last August were asked for their views on different aspects of their stay.
Responses were scored on a scale of one, the lowest, to ten.
Airedale scored 8.7 for patients feeling they were well looked after and 8.8 for dignity and respect, and 8.0 with patients who felt they had "a very good experience".
Rob Dearden (pictured), director of nursing at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, said the results were reassuring.
But he added: "We are not complacent.
"There are still areas in which we need to improve and this survey is only one of the tools we use to enhance patient experience.
"We also carry out our own 'real time survey', respond to comments made on NHS Choices and social media and use the friends and family test so we can respond quickly to address any problems as they arise."
The survey, the 12th of its kind, involved 154 acute and specialist NHS trusts across the country.
In total, 59,000 responses – a 47 per cent return rate – were received.
