A SILSDEN woman has spoken of her pride after the group she chairs smashed through a charity fundraising target.
Farm Stay Yorkshire had aimed to coin-in £10,000 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
A recipe book was published two years ago with an initial print run of 500, but it has proved so successful more than 3,500 copies have been sold.
And an afternoon tea event this month has taken the total raised to £11,500.
Group chairman Lisa Preston, who runs a B&B at Pickersgill Manor Farm in Silsden, said: "We were very close to our target of £10,000 before the afternoon tea but to break through the barrier and in fact raise considerably more is a fantastic achievement.
"A total of 126 people turned out to support us at the event and we cannot thank them enough, along with our generous band of sponsors.
"We are now looking forward to presenting the cheque to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance."
